What is it?
DocGirlRambles. (formerly known as GradGirlRambles) is my way of being open and transparent about my experiences as a doctoral student and beyond. I maintain both an Instagram account and a YouTube channel where I discuss various topics, such as doing a PhD during a pandemic, applying for doctoral internships, and doing my part in sharing the field of School Psychology with the world.
The Blog
I used GradGirlRambles blog to discuss more broad topics related to graduate school. These are more “rambles” than you might find on my YouTube channel. I candidly talk about some of my experiences as they arise throughout the year.
The Channel
My YouTube channel has a greater focus on sharing my experiences in being a graduate student in School Psychology. I share tips from my application process and updates about various experiences throughout each semester. By using a video format, I hope to use my position as a Black woman and student to expose more BIPOC students to the field.
